[1.0] The Poogie and Pre-requisites

Ah, our beloved cute little piggy, the Poogie. Legend has it that if you pet this before your quest you will have good luck and increase the chances of having better rewards. While there isn't any concrete proof yet on Monster Hunter World, there is really no harm in doing so. In fact, if you do, there are certain benefits as it can get you some items, meal vouchers and cute clothing for fun.
By the way, if you want the video version of this guide just click here

You will find the Poogie around the Tradeyard in Astera. In order to be able to have access to the clothing and the ability to receive items from it, you have to keep petting him between each quest up to the point that it jumps up with hearts after doing so (see vid at the 00:15 mark). You can tell it really likes you when it follows you around or greet you after coming back from a quest. This is a bit annoying though as there is a tendency for you to talk to  the Poogie instead of the actual NPC you are trying to talk to. He he. Anyway, to properly pet the Poogie simply talk to it, select the Pet option and wait for the "!" to appear and press circle/B again. If you screw up the timing it will get mad and knock your butt off. Do this repeatedly between each quest as doing this multiple times in one instance will have no effect. Once you and the little guy are close, you can select the "Pick Up" option to carry it around Astera. Notice that sometimes your controller vibrates in certain areas. You can press the square/X button to put it down along that area and it will dig up a hidden item for you. Again you can only do this in between quests, so basically one item at a time. Note that if you stop petting the Poogie for a long time, it will stop liking you, so to maintain good spirits with it, never forget to pet it each opportunity you get.

Now on to the specifics...

[2.0] Useful Items (Meal Voucher, Dung, Ivy, Mega Nutrients, etc.)

One of the most useful items it can dig up for you are meal vouchers. It will require some extra effort as you need to carry it all the way up to the handler near the canteen. Once the controller vibrates, put it down and it will dig up a meal voucher for you. This is not always available though but definitely worth the trouble if you are short on meal vouchers to receive the food benefits you need in the canteen. And no, you cannot use the lift to transport the Poogie, you need to do this the long way. Scattered along Astera are some other items such as Dung, Mega Nutrients, Ivy, Barrel Bombs, etc. This appear to be specific to certain spots. Note that all these are not guaranteed or available 100% of the time, but you if you have time especially when waiting for the quest to load, you can bring the Poogie to these areas to check if he can dig up one. If it sleeps just pick him up again and drop him along the area where the controller vibrates.

You can use the Pro-Transporter armor skill set to be able to carry the Poogie around faster. See this video using the Kulu Ya-Ku headgear.

Dung which can be used to craft dung pods and is not available for cultivation (lol), can be found near the spot in Astera where you can find your last captured monster.

Ivy or Parashoom can be found in the books near the Ecological Research.

Mega Nutrients, Immunizer or Catalyst can be found in the area between the Provisions Supply and the tent where the Argosy captain settles.

Other items such as Barrel Bomb near the Resource Center and crafting materials such as Monster bone, a low grade Armor Sphere, Might seed, etc. So far the ones listed above are what I find most useful since some cannot be cultivated in the Botanical Research. These are also near the quest board so they are easy to pick up before the quest starts. This might be updated in the future if I find something more useful and worth the trouble.

[3.0] Memorial Stripes

You have this clothing by default. You can play around with the colors.

[4.0] White Jammies

To get the White Jammies you have to carry the Poogie to this area near the Ecological Research. It will dig up the clothing. Note that you cannot get all clothing in one go, do it after each quest.

[5.0] Hog in a Frog

The Hog in a Frog clothing you can find beside the right scoutfly lamp in the Botanical Research Area. Again just bring the Poogie along the area after a quest.

[6.0] Apprentice Fiver

This clothing you can find along the flags near the Commander's area.

[7.0] Emperor's New Duds

To get this clothing it will again require a little effort. You need to carry the Poogie all the way to the top of Astera. Just carry it up the stairs, go  inside the Workshop and take the stairs behind it. Now, go all the way to the top into the shed. You will find the clothing here. IMPORTANT NOTE: It seems you need to finish the story first before you can obtain this (after defeating Xeno'Jiiva). If that is not the trigger then try it after completing the quests to unlock HR caps, mainly Beyond the Blasting Scales (9*, hunt 2 Tempered Bazelguese) and Thunderous Rumble in the Highlands (9*, hunt Tempered Kirin).

[8.0] Busy Bee

Free Poogie clothing from the Spring Blossom Event

That would be all of the available clothing for now. I am sure they will be adding more in the future so I will be updating this guide when the time comes. Hope you were able to get all of these. Which one is your favorite? I personally like the Emperor's New Duds for cuteness and the Apprentice Fiver for a cool looking piggy.

16.0...Health Booster
17.0...Cleanser Booster
18.0...Affinity Booster

Lately I am still seeing a lot of questions on how to get certain boosters and mantles so I decided to write a guide for this even if it's a bit late. You might want to check the details especially for the Affinity Booster as some might have missed this one due to certain requirements. I know there are also other guides out there but I wanted to add a few more details and input for this.Without further adieu, let's start.

Oh, by the way, to switch between these specialized tools you can go to your red storage box in your room, tent or along areas in Astera under "Change Equipment". You only get one slot initially but upon completing the story you get an additional slot. You can also assign these on your radial menu.

[1.0] Ghillie Mantle

Effect Description: Conceals you from enemy view temporarily. The effect expires if you perform an attack or take damage.
Effect Duration: 120 secs
Recharge Time: 300 secs

[How to Obtain]
Assigned Quest: "Flying Sparks: Tobi-Kadachi" (3*) - Slay or Capture Tobi-Kadachi
Hunter Rank: 4 or higher

This is the first mantle that you'll unlock as the quest is part of the main story line. Instant cloaking device. This makes you invisible from the monster for a short time. Apart from sneaking up on a monster, you can use this to grant some breathing room if you need to heal up during a battle. Wear it and use your healing items without worrying about getting attacked. Stay away from Area of Effect attacks still as taking damage will terminate its effect. Attacking the monster will also remove the effect. One creative way to use it is by wearing it and using the slinger to shoot the ground and get the monster's attention and draw it to a specific area without getting noticed. Example are the special arena optional quests: wear the mantle, place your bombs below the boulder trap, use your slinger and shoot at the ground below the boulder. The monster will get curious and investigate the sound, now hit that switch and drop the boulder on the monster triggering the bombs in the process as well for good preemptive damage.

[2.0] Glider Mantle

Effect Description: Increases jump airtime and grants the power to ride strong winds. Also makes it easier to mount monsters.
Effect Duration: 180 secs
Recharge Time: 210 secs

[How to Obtain]
This is the second mantle that you'll likely unlock as it is also part of the main storyline after completing the initial expedition on the Coral Highlands map.

The mantle will grant you more air time after jumping off cliffs and edges. Use this for re-positioning and easier jumping attacks to help you mount monsters. You can also use this to ride strong winds in certain areas. Example in this video where you can easily reach the Legiana's nest (No need to actually wear the mantle as you can jump off the ledge and it will automatically wear the mantle).

[3.0] Bandit Mantle

Effect Description: Causes monsters to drop rare trade-in items when you attack them.
Effect Duration: 180 secs
Recharge Time: 210 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "Redefining the Power Couple" (5*) - Slay or capture Rathalos and Rathian, receive from The Armory
Hunter Rank: 9 or higher

By far the best mantle for farming zeny. After dealing certain amount of damage while wearing this, a monster will drop trade-in items such as scales that you can sell for decent amount of zeny especially in bulk. This is famously used on events such as "Triple Threat Throwdown" where you face off against Great Jagras, Great Girros and Dodogama. You drop a lot of scales as you can deal good damage to these monsters easily and chance to reap decorations when you finish the event quest.

[4.0] Vitality Mantle

Effect Description: Negates a fixed amount of damage, after which the effect expires.
Effect Duration: 120 secs
Recharge Time: 360 secs

[How to Obtain]
Assigned Quest: "Tickled Pink" (6*) - Slay or Capture Anjanath, receive from the Field Team Leader in Astera
Hunter Rank: 11 or higher

Kind of like an additional health bar on top of your original. It absorbs a certain amount of damage and expires after 120 secs or upon exhausting the damage threshold. This is one of the most useful mantles as it prevents you from fainting in one shot from a powerful monster attack such as Nergigante's dive bomb, Kirin's lightning, Teostra's supernova, etc. The cooldown is long so make sure to use it on moments you only truly need it such as when the monster is enraged and have a tendency to do its most damaging attacks.

[5.0] Challenger Mantle

Effect Description: Prompts monsters to target you more often and makes them easier to lure. The effect expires if you are attacked.
Effect Duration: 180 secs
Recharge Time: 300 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "The Red and Blue Crew" (7*) - Slay or capture Azure Rathalos and Rathalos, receive from The Armory
Hunter Rank: 13 or higher

Wearing this mantle will make the monster target you more often. The effect of the mantle ends upon taking damage, so if you are planning to draw aggro for your team and fully get the benefits of the mantle, make sure you are able to dodge or block the attacks. For that reason, it is not quite popular and probably not worth the slot as there are more useful options. You can also use this to lure the monster into traps or environment hazards.

[6.0] Thunderproof Mantle

Effect Description: Reduces thunder damage, nullifies thunderblight and paralysis
Effect Duration: 180 secs
Recharge Time: 210 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "Gone in a Flash" (5*) - Slay Kirin, receive from Impatient Biologist on the Botanical Research area in Astera
Hunter Rank: 8 or higher

Apart from the Fireproof mantle, the Thunderproof mantle is a very important tool because of Kirin. To get this item you actually need to fight the Elder Kirin himself in low rank. Take this opportunity to get to know its attack patterns and behavior so you will be ready for high rank and the tempered version. It's the same monster but has more powerful attacks that can one shot you. Get zapped without having the right gear and you're a goner. The Thunderproof mantle paired with high thunder resistance can save you from that. What makes Kirin deadlier is after getting paralyzed you are a sitting duck for his lightning so again this mantle if one of the must haves before facing off against it. For best results, bring both this one and the Vitality mantle, alternating between them when available.

[7.0] Fireproof Mantle

Effect Description: Reduces fire damage, nullifies fireblight and blastblight, and prevents damage from hot environments.
Effect Duration: 180 secs
Recharge Time: 210 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "A Fiery Convergence" (7*) - Slay or capture Lavasioth and Uragaan, receive from The Armory
Hunter Rank: 13 or higher

Fire resistance tool. Probably most used among the elemental mantles as there are a lot of dangerous fire attacks from monsters such as Anjanath's fire breath, Uragaan's exploding balls, Bazelguese's poop bombs and most importantly Teostra's fire attacks and aura. This will reduce the fire damage you take, thus a must have when dealing with Teostra as it could save you from those vicious flames and prevent a one-hit KO from supernova. It's also a free Cool Drink when fighting in fiery environment. Consider bringing this on those fights along with the Vitality mantlle.

[8.0] Waterproof Mantle

Effect Description: Reduces water damage, nullifies waterblight, reduces mobility restrictions in muck and negates them entirely for deep water.
Effect Duration: 180 secs
Recharge Time: 210 secs

[How to Obtain]
Complete Deliveries: Armor R&D: Waterproofing - Deliver 3 Jyuratodus Scale+ and 1 Jyuratodus Fin+ to the Resource Center, receive from The Armory
Hunter Rank: ??

Water resistance tool. Good for going up against Jyuratodus and Barroth especially on the watery areas of Wildspire Wastes as it will grant you more mobility in water. If you don't want to worry about waterblight then you can use this tool to prevent you from being afflicted with it.

[9.0] Iceproof Mantle

Effect Description: Reduces ice damage and nullifies iceblight
Effect Duration: 180 secs
Recharge Time: 210 secs

[How to Obtain]
Complete Deliveries: Armor R&D: Weatherizing - Deliver 3 Paolumu Pelt+ and 1 Paolumu Wing to the Resource Center, receive from The Armory
Hunter Rank: ??

Not that used as not a lot of troublesome ice monsters from this game except for Legiana. If you are having a hard time dodging its attacks then this tool is perfect for you to reduce the damage and prevent you from getting afflicted with the iceblight.

[10.0] Dragonproof Mantle

Effect Description: Reduces dragon damage, nullifies dragonblight, and powers up your weapon's dragon properties.
Effect Duration: 120 secs
Recharge Time: 300 secs

[How to Obtain]
As part of the Deviljho update, go to an expedition and look for a map with ??? in the monster list. Gather ??? tracks, after discovering and defeating this Deviljho, go back to Astera and talk to the Jovial Scholar (blue exclamation marks on map) to trigger the quest.
Special Assignment: "The Food Chain Dominator" (7*) - hunt a Deviljho

Hunter Rank: 13 or higher

The mantle is useful when going up against monster which deal dragon element attacks or dragonblight such as Deviljho's breath attack. Unlike from the other element-proof mantles which only focus on the defensive end, this one also increases your dragon attack element if your weapon has it.

[11.0] Apothecary Mantle

Effect Description: Increases the probability of triggering status buildup when attacking with weapons that induce abnormal statuses
Effect Duration: 60 secs
Recharge Time: 210 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "A Portent of Disaster" (8*) - Slay Kushala Daora, received from The Armory
Quest Pre-requisite: To unlock the quest you need to first complete research levels on 10 different monsters (check your Hunter Notes or visit the Ecological Research, some monsters require 4 stars and some stars depending on the availability from low rank & high rank)
Hunter Rank: 14 or higher

Although the duration lasts for only 60 secs, this can be very useful when using builds that utilize abnormal statuses such as poison, blast, paralysis, sleep, etc. Pairing it with weapons with fast or high attack rate will work wonders as it will further increase the probability of dealing these status ailments.

[12.0] Immunity Mantle

Effect Description: Removes and nullifies all abnormal status effects for the duration of the effect.
Effect Duration: 120 secs
Recharge Time: 210 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "A Blaze on the Sand" (8*) - Slay Teostra, received from The Armory
Quest Pre-requisite: To unlock the quest you need to first complete research levels on 15 different monsters (check your Hunter Notes or visit the Ecological Research, some monsters require 4 stars and some stars depending on the availability from low rank & high rank)
Hunter Rank: 14 or higher

If you are having trouble with monsters that deal abnormal status then this is the mantle for you. Equipping the mantle removes current ailment and prevents you from getting afflicted again. Although such status ailments can be easily countered with consumable items such as antidote for poison and nulberry for blights. One notable use is for Vaal Hazak's effluvium.

[13.0] Impact Mantle

Effect Description: Adds a stun effect to most attacks or increases the potency of an existing stun effect.
Effect Duration: 90 secs
Recharge Time: 360 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "Showdown: the Muck and the Maul" (9*) - Hunt Tempered Barroth and Tempered Radobaan, received from The Armory
Quest Pre-requisites: To unlock the quest you need to first successfully hunt 5 unique tempered threat level 1 monsters (any 5 of these monsters: Pukei-Pukei, Tobi-Kadachi, Anjanath, Barroth, Jyuratodus, Rathian, Paolumu, Radobaan)
Hunter Rank: 15 or higher

This mantle has a lot of potential as stun is always welcome in maintaining the offensive. The mantle adds a stun effect to most of your attacks or will increase the potency of your current attacks that may inflict stun. Use it wisely and only when you most need it as the cooldown is very long and the effects only last for 90 secs.

[14.0] Evasion Mantle

Effect Description: Increases the invulnerability window while evading and grants a temporary attack boost for evading a monster attack at the very last moment.
Effect Duration: 90 secs
Recharge Time: 360 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "New World Sky, New World Flower" (9*) - Hunt Tempered Pink Rathian and Tempered Azure Rathalos, received from The Armory
Quest Pre-requisites: To unlock the quest you need to first successfully hunt 5 unique tempered threat level 2 monsters (any 5 of these monsters:  Rathalos, Azure Rathalos, Pink Rathian, Diablos, Black Diablos, Bazelgeuse, Uragaan, Lavasioth, Legiana, Odogaron)
Some say that this require 7 unique monsters but I was able to unlock it at 5.
Hunter Rank: 15 or higher

This mantle is very good. It is widely used on offensive builds and speedruns. The mantle increases the invulnerability window while evading and grants a temporary attack boost if upon successfully evading a monster attack at the very last moment. Cooldown is long and last for 90 seconds, use it during moments that you are enable to maintain the offensive.

[15.0] Rocksteady Mantle

Effect Description: Elminates damage reactions, prevents wind effects, protects your hearing, and grants tremor resistance. You also receive less damage from attacks.
Effect Duration: 90 secs
Recharge Time: 360 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "A Summons from Below" (9*) - Hunt Tempered Vaal Hazal and Tempered Odogaron, received from The Armory
Quest Pre-requisites: To unlock the quest you need to first successfully hunt 3 unique tempered threat level 3 monsters a.k.a. Elder Dragons (any 5 of these monsters: Kirin (Elder Unicorn lol), Teostra, Kushala Daora, Nergigante, Vaal Hazak)
Some say that this require 7 unique monsters but I was able to unlock it at 5.
Hunter Rank: 15 or higher

The mantle is good but some people say it makes the game boring, you be the judge . It removes damage reactions and prevents you from stopping while attacking when a monster roars or when the ground tremors. It prevents knockbacks and prevents you from getting thrown away but you will still take damage in the process. This was also used for speedruns as it acts like free earplugs and as mentioned above prevents knockbacks and flinching allowing you to continuously attack the monster. Be careful though as you might not notice how much health you've loss while taking hits such as Kushala Daora's tornado. Cooldown is long and last for 90 seconds, use it wisely.

[16.0] Health Booster

Effect Description: Places a smoker that gradually restores your health.
Effect Duration: 60 secs
Recharge Time: 150 secs

[How to Obtain]
Assigned Quest: "One for the History Books" (4*) - Fight Zorah Magdaros

Hunter Rank: 5 or higher

This is the first booster you'll receive as it is part of the main story after initially going up against Zorah Magdaros. Receive it from the Field Team Leader. This can be a powerful healing tool for the whole party as it affects players in along the specific area it was planted.

[17.0] Cleanser Booster

Effect Description: Places a smoker that removes any abnormal status effects and elemental blights
Effect Duration: 60 secs
Recharge Time: 150 secs

[How to Obtain]
Optional Quest: "On Nightmare's Wings" (4*) - Slay 5 Raphinos (flying small monsters in Rotten Vale)

Hunter Rank: 14 or higher

Pretty much the same use Immunity mantle but instead affects the party members around the area of effect.

[18.0] Affinity Booster

Effect Description: Places a smoker that increases affinity.
Effect Duration: 60 secs
Recharge Time: 180 secs

[How to Obtain]
Triggered by a series of quests starting from the Research Base's Third Fleet Master.
Hunter Rank: 11 or Higher

A Tingling Taste (Optional Quest) - from Third Fleet Master in Research Base, kill Great Girros

A Master's Toast (Complete Deliveries) - from Shy Scholar in Research Base and then to the Resource Center, deliver 2 Thunder Sacs

Stuck in Their Ways (Optional Quest) - from the Cheerful Scholar in Reseach Base, Capture Tobi-Kadachi

A Fire-Spewing Brew (Complete Deliveries) - from the Scholar in Research Base to the Resource Center, deliver 2 Dodogama jaws

A Sore Site (Optional Quest) - from the Airship Engineer in Research Base, capture Odogaron

RRRRRumble in the Waste! (Optional Quest) - final quest that grants the booster, from the Third Fleet Master in Research Base, kill Diablos and Black Diablos.

This is easy to miss as the chain quests start in the Research Base, most people don't usually go there apart from being required in the main story. This is one of the most useful tools for offense builds as it grants 50% affinity upon entering the smoke. The buff lasts for 20 secs so re-enter the red smoke to get the buff again within the 60 sec time frame that the booster is up. Re-enter the area of effect before the time runs out as you still get the 20-sec buff even after the booster's time runs out. Meaning you can actually get 80 secs of +50% affinity.

That's all folks, hopefully this was able to help you get all the mantles and boosters you've missed. This might be updated in case more tools such as these are added in the future. If you have time you might also want to check out the other guides:

Monster Hunter World: Decoration Categories and Drop Rates

Finally! Gaijin Hunter provided a video for the decoration tables on the drop rates and categories of decorations/jewels from tempered monsters. The video can be found here. Thank you Gaijin Hunter for making our hunting life much easier! All credits to Gaijin Hunter for the translating and gathering the data from the official guide and making the video for us. I decided to create simple tables to summarize the information for everyone's convenience. I travel 6 hours a day so I can only get to read via mobile, this is for personal use as well (I spend a lot of time daydreaming or thinking about my character builds lol).

By the way, you may want to check the main Monster Hunter World guide I am trying to complete here if you have time.

Author's Note: After the Kulve Taroth update (MHW ver 3.0 onwards), the drop rates changed as T1 can now also drop warped feystones, T2 can now drop hero streamstones and T3 will drop streamstones more often. I don't have formal information on the new rates but I will be updating this or creating a new write-up for it asap. This was to compensate for nerfing flashpods in the update. Bottom line is, hunt T3 for streamstone farming and T1 or T2 still for specific jewels. Table #3 is still usable as reference.

Feystone Appraisal (Table#1)
Monster Hunter World Feystone/Jewel Appraisal Values Rates
Monster Hunter World Feystone Appraisal Values (Table #1)

The jewels you get will depend on the type of feystone appraised. Each feystone type has a specific percentage chance of yielding a jewel under a certain category. In the table above, a Mysterious Feystone has an 85% chance of yielding a Category C jewel and 15% for Category B. It will have no chance of yielding a Category A or S jewel. The Elder Melder can produce only up to a Worn Feystone and has a 6% and 2% chance of yielding a Category A and Category S jewel respectively. So if you are looking for  jewels under those categories it would be better to hunt for Warped Feystones than waste your jewels in the melding process. Analyze the table above and refer to the last table below to know under which category your desired jewel is. Category C to S is Rarity 6 to 8 respectively.

Decorations Drop Rates (Table#2)
Monster Hunter World Decorations Drop Rates per Tempered Threat Level
Monster Hunter World Decorations Drop Rates per Tempered Threat Level (Table#2)

Now, as for the drop rates of these feystones, threat level 1 monsters will have a 0% chance to drop Warped Feystones. The threat level 2 monsters will have a higher chance of dropping a Warped Feystone than Threat level 3 monsters which are the Elder Dragons. The advantage of hunting Elder Dragons though is that they have a higher chance of dropping Streamstones for augmentation. Despite this drop rate, proceed to Table#4 for the math on true % chance to get a jewel under certain categories.

Tempered Monsters Threat Level (Table#2.1)
Monster Hunter World Tempered Threat Level Monsters
Monster Hunter World Tempered Threat Level (Table #2.1)
Exceptions (no tempered version) - Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, Great Girros, Dodogama, Zorah Magdaros, Xeno'Jiiva

Decoration Categories (Table#3)
Monster Hunter World Jewel Decoration Table List
Monster Hunter World Decoration Category List (Table #3)

The table above shows under which category your desired jewel is (click to enlarge). So knowing the following data, refer to the first and second table on which Feystone to target and which tempered monster will have the highest chance to drop that specific Feystone.

How To Use the Tables:
1. Choose your target jewel on Table#3 and take not of the Category or Rarity.
2. Look at Table#4 for and take note of the Tempered Threat Level with the highest chance to yield a jewel under your desired category from step 1.
3. Hunt tempered monsters under that threat level from Table#2.1 and pray for the RNG to be generous to you.

Example:
Target Jewel is Attack. Table#3 shows Attack is under Category A.
Table#4 shows that Threat level 2 monsters has a 7.14% chance to get a Category A monster. This is because you need to factor in all the other Feystones that you can also receive and the chance to get a certain category. So the true % chance considering all these, specifically for an Attack jewel, based from the table below will be the 7.14% divided by 22 = 0.32% chance. Wow, that's too sad but don't give up fellas. Also, if you are going to base this on a specific feystone, say for example you got all Warped Feystones, each Warped Feystone will have an 18% chance to get a Category A jewel based from Table#1, dividing it by 22 which is the number of jewels in that category and you have 0.82% chance to get that one specific jewel from that group that you are hunting for.

Combined Percentages to Obtain Jewels per Tempered Threat Levels (Table#4)

Conclusion
Still there? All the math is making my head hurt. After a good talk with fellow reddit users, the 26% on the Warped Feystone is indeed misleading. I must admit we all got caught up on this and overreacted a bit. So I do apologize if I got you all even more excited. Tempered threat level 2 monsters will indeed have a higher chance to get Category A jewels. However the percentage chance is only slightly higher 7.14% > 6.66%. For me though, this is still significant and since this percentage is based per reward slot, here's the thing: if your tempered level 2 investigation has 4 reward slots versus a tempered level 3 investigation with 2-3 slots, it would make sense to go for the tempered level 2. There is another computation in which the chances are almost equal by Draycos on my reddit post here. Honestly, at this point I still stand with Threat Level 2 if I want that Category A jewel. In the end it will all come down to RNG and luck. There are still no guarantees but It is really hard to get exactly what you want so any increase in % to get that specific jewel, I think I'll gladly take it. I'd initially take the Feystone with the highest chance to yield my target jewel and worry about the other %'s later. Plus, threat level 2 monsters can be captured which can save you time compared to threat level 3 monsters which could also be more tedious and harder to take down. If I get a streamstone in the process then I'll thank the Sapphire Star for it. I'll save up the threat level 3 quests unless I find the need to go for streamstones. However, if you don't mind whatever jewel you get and want to leave it all to luck, then threat level 3 quests are the way to go as you have a higher chance of getting streamstones and still get the benefits of getting feystones in the process, thus having the most out of the hunting time you committed. As some people said and come to think of it, we are probably going to get burned out hunting threat level 3 all the time. It goes with what you prefer so there is still no right or wrong way of hunting just to make things clear.

Man, this is very useful and utterly frustrating at the same time. Ha ha. I want jewels such as Critical Boost and Attack Jewels only to find them on the highest categories. But at least now we all know what to do to have the highest chance of gaining the jewel we want. What is the rarest jewel you've obtained so far? Let's pray that the RNG will be nice to us. Hope this summary was helpful. Jewel-hunting we go! May the Sapphire Star light our way!

Author's Notes:
Some are suggesting a text format instead of images for the tables. I will work on that soon but blogger doesn't have a built-in table for easy formatting. I will have to do it manually using html which I do not have the luxury of time just yet. Anyway, fellow hunters have made spreadsheets for your convenience. I really screwed up the initial final %'s so I do apologize for that, the above percentages are more accurate.

For any corrections or if I ever had something wrong, please inform me by sending me an email or commenting below. Thank you!
